The Bishop in each of Australia’s 28 dioceses, as well as the Maronite Diocese and Ukrainian Eparchy, appoints a Diocesan Director (DD), who is responsible for Caritas activities within their diocese. This group of dedicated volunteers plays a vital role in the work of Caritas Australia. Activities of the DD include the organisation of Project Compassion and emergency appeals, as well as promotional and awareness raising activities.
Diocesan Directors serve as the link between Caritas Australia’s National Office and the people in their diocese.
