What is Workplace Giving?

Workplace Giving allows you to make regular donations to Caritas Australia through your pre-tax pay. This greatly reduces Caritas Australia’s administration costs so more money reaches the people who need it most.

Employees make an ongoing donation, which is deducted from their pre-tax salary each pay period. Companies can choose to match their staff’s giving to double the impact and inspire more staff to get involved. It saves both Caritas Australia, and your organisation, costly and time-consuming administration work, and means that even more in every dollar goes towards helping the people who need it most.

Workplace giving won’t affect your superannuation and payroll tax calculations like salary sacrificing. It reduces your PAYG liability but it doesn’t decrease your gross income.

Small contributions can have a big impact. Stand with our global neighbours and help improve the lives of millions around the world.

Benefits for employees

With Workplace Giving, all your donations are made from your pre-tax salary. This reduces your salary for taxation purposes but doesn’t affect the amount you are giving to Caritas Australia.
