Parish and Community Group resources

Caritas Australia works with all people to enable them to learn more about the issues and causes of global poverty and injustice.

We hope to inspire and support Australian Catholics to “be more” and work together towards the creation of a more just and fair world.

In this section, you will find a range of resources such as prayers, reflections, liturgies and fact sheets here for use in your parish or community group, designed to help bring together faith and action to address social justice issues.

Hungry for Justice Report

Caritas Australia has joined together with Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand and Caritas Tonga to produce the Caritas State of the Environment Report for Oceania 2016. This past year, 2015-16, has highlighted the Pacific’s vulnerability to extreme weather events that affect food and water supplies.

The most significant trend in Oceania the last 12 months has been widespread hunger and thirst that is a result of severe weather events, successive emergencies, and ongoing climatic changes. These have had extensive and serious impacts on the well-being of peoples across the Pacific.

Click here to take action in solidarity with our Pacific neighbours who are tackling the increasingly severe impacts of climate change and to read the report.
