Caritas K’s

Caritas K’s offers your community the opportunity to cover kilometres for compassion by running, walking, cycling or swimming as a way of connecting with those who have to
cover many kilometres each day to fetch water, obtain food, get to school or market, or simply to survive.

Watch the Caritas Australia Story online movie and see how people in Bangladesh have to walk or cycle to do just about anything!

Caritas K's news from our schools

Sacred Heart students walk for Caritas K’s

On the last day of term one, the students at Sacred Heart Primary School at Pymble held a Caritas K’s walk to raise money for Project Compassion.

Throughout the day the students walked in their class groups around the oval and school grounds racking up many K’s (kilometres) in the process.

The enjoyment of the children, especially the infants, was a delight to behold as was their obvious enthusiasm and will to do their best.

With various levels of speed and style (a special mention should be made of the fabulous ‘Kath and Kell’ power walkers), the children made their way around the course, all receiving a certificate for their efforts.

Well done children and congratulations to the year six Social Justice Committee for their assistance in organising this and other fundraising efforts throughout the term.
