Help us build a Safer World for All

From Ukraine to Afghanistan, Myanmar to Ethiopia, extreme poverty, displacement and hunger are all increasing.

But we can make a difference. Through life-saving aid, together we can make, ‘A Safer World for All’.

The triple threat of conflict, COVID-19 and climate change is putting pressure on the world's most vulnerable.

For the first time in decades, global poverty is on the rise.

Recent projections show that by the end of this year, 860 million people could be living in extreme poverty, an increase of 260 million people since the beginning of the pandemic. Yet, over recent years the aid budget has steadily declined.

Now is the time for wealthy nations, like Australia, to step up and invest in a safer and more equal world for all.

We are calling upon the government to increase life-saving humanitarian aid to conflict and hunger hotspots in Ukraine, the Horn of Africa, Myanmar and Middle East.

Here’s how we think the government can help build

A Safer World for All

Increase life-saving humanitarian aid to conflict and hunger hotspots in Ukraine, the Horn of Africa, Myanmar and Middle East.

Rebuild Australian Aid to help nations become more stable and resilient, currently at its least generous level ever (0.21% of GNI) and projected to fall even lower.

Restore Australia’s refugee program to 20,000 places per year to create more refugee places for those fleeing conflicts in Myanmar, Ethiopia, Syria, Iraq, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Yemen, and Venezuela.

I believe the Australian government should help make

A Safer World for All
