Your support is lifesaving

Your donation today can help continue to protect and educate the world's most vulnerable.

Billions of people around the world are continuing to suffer from poor access to water, sanitation and hygiene, according to the World Health Organization.

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, right now, in refugee camps and crowded cities from Indonesia to Bangladesh and all across the world’s most vulnerable communities, our frontline partners and staff are working to best implement our current programs, whilst delivering critical education and supplies to fight the coronavirus pandemic. We are bringing sanitation and food kits and sharing information about how to stop the spread of the virus, so that we can save as many lives as possible.

What does it take to save lives?

Changing behaviours

In the most vulnerable communities, access to information about coronavirus is a matter of life and death. Where poor sanitation, overcrowding and limited access to health care already put children, men and women at risk, this pandemic could have devastating consequences.

Simple but effective behavioural changes are the key to minimising the impacts of the virus and avoiding a catastrophe.

Adapting to new conditions

We have adjusted our community development programs in the countries we work to incorporate measures that help contain the spread of COVID-19.

Our international partners are on the ground, in places like the Cox’s Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh, helping people to understand the dangers of this pandemic. They are continuing to deliver our existing programs and also educating people about preventative measures like sanitising, socially distancing and isolating those who are unwell.

Where social distancing is nearly impossible, and hygiene supplies are limited, education is a powerful defence.

This critical community education will slow the spread and save lives.

Looking out for the most vulnerable

Our brothers and sisters living in poverty, in refugee camps and in conflict-torn areas are feeling the impact of this tragic pandemic most intensely.

The need to provide them with access to critical water, sanitation and hygiene programs, as well as education on how to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, has never been more urgent.

We cannot let this virus spread aggressively where people are already at such risk.

The solidarity you show with the most vulnerable communities around the world will save lives.
