Just Leadership Days - Project Compassion 2018

Thank you to all the schools and staff within the Sydney Archdiocese, Dioceses of Wollongong, Broken Bay, Maitland-Newcastle, Parramatta and Canberra/Goulburn for their generosity and hospitality at the Just Leadership Days that were conducted during Project Compassion 2018.

The participation of both primary and secondary schools were a terrific display of love and compassion of the Catholic community and your support will contribute directly to those who are living vulnerable situations all over the world.

Mount St Joseph's Women for the World Luncheon

A very special day was had at Mount St Joseph in Milperra on 26 June, where the brilliant social justice leaders of the college held a Women for the World luncheon.

There were guest speakers from a number of Catholic agencies speaking on solidarity and women’s empowerment. The special guest speaker was Negaya Chorley, Australia’s Director, Advocacy and Communications.

Money raised at the luncheon will go towards Caritas Australia’s programs that support vulnerable women around the world and in Australia.

If you would like to stand in solidarity with women all over the world and hold your own Women for the World Fundraising event please contact me.

Staff Spirituality Day - Broken Bay

On April 30, St Peter’s Catholic College in Tuggerah Lakes hosted the primary school educators of the Broken Bay for a staff Formation Day. It was a fantastic way to connect with educators and showcase Caritas Australia’s exceptional education resources. The staff participated in Caritas Australia’s Refugee Simulation Activity designed for upper primary students with a focus on the Catholic Social Teaching of Human Dignity.
