We recap Project Compassion
19 May 17
With Lent over for another year, Caritas Australia would like to say thank you for your support of Project Compassion 2017!
Across the country schools, churches and individuals did amazing things and it was wonderful to see Dinia, Martina, Uncle Richard, Nguyet, Semiti and Aloma and the theme of “Love your Neighbour” inspire such generosity and kindness.
Schools, parishes and individuals showed their support from launch events, right throughout Lent. View our photo gallery to see a sample of some of the great Project Compassion activities.

Some of this year's highlights
We had some special guests join us for Project Compassion this year, including Semiti the Director of the People’s Community network in Fiji. He visited a number of schools and parishes and was featured on ABC News 24’s The World program as well as a radio spot on Cradio.
Father Tonette, the Director of the Socio-Pastoral Action Centre Foundation Inc. (SPACFI) which helps communities in the Philippines, also visited a number of schools and parishes. Fr Tonette featured in several local newspapers and SBS Filipino.
