Community Development Activities - Upper Primary
Communities have used their strengths to build a tippy tap, vertical garden, energy saving stove and dish drying rack to help them in their everyday lives. These inquiry lessons are based on the Design and Technology curriculum providing students opportunities to design and build their own water, food and energy-saving projects. Students consider the design and materials used, as well as examine social and environmental sustainability. Further, they reflect on how different technologies can affect people and their environments. The resource also contains case studies and accompanying worksheets.
