Caritas Australia’s staff across the country came together for Thank You Day — a day dedicated to expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible supporters who make our work possible.

Every year, Thank You Day is a reminder that behind every program, project, and success story, there are countless acts of generosity from people like you — our Caritas Australia community. Whether it’s through prayer, advocacy, volunteering, or financial support, your compassion and solidarity continue to help make the world a little bit better every day.

A day of connection and appreciation

This year’s Thank You Day brought together teams from our Sydney and Melbourne offices, who spent the afternoon making thank-you calls, writing personalised cards, and recording video messages for our supporters.

More than 1,100 phone calls and thank you cards were made and sent to supporters.

This is the impact that supporters like you have made in the 2025 financial year:

More than 45,000 supporters donated to Caritas Australia.

Our 3,514 Champions for Change, who give monthly to sustain long-term programs, contributed more than $4 million.

Project Compassion raised more than $10 million.

We received over $8.5 million in bequests from generous supporters who left a legacy of love.

More than $2.5 million was raised for our emergency appeals, including $650,000 for Gaza and $500,000 for the Myanmar earthquake.

Our Christmas Appeal had a 60% increase in income thanks to the generosity of our supporters, raising more than $1.1 million.

Thank you for walking with us

From all of us at Caritas Australia — thank you. Your ongoing generosity helps us continue to respond to urgent needs, advocate for justice, and empower communities to thrive.

We look forward to continuing this journey together, inspired by faith, compassion, and the belief that every act of kindness makes a difference.
