In northern Tanzania a lack of access to clean and reliable water is putting children under pressure and at risk. With your help, more children like Sisilia can have support for their health, more time to focus in school and the chance to pursue their dreams.
“Unfortunately, the water we fetch comes from an irrigation canal, which is not treated and often unsafe for drinking. This puts us at risk of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and typhoid.”
Sisilia’s story
Sisilia is only 13-years-old. Three times a day she had to undertake a long walk to gather water for her family.
While we simply turn a tap to access clean water, Sisilia must walk to collect it three times a day, including before and after school.
Please make your kind Lenten gift now and help children like Sisilia access clean water, sanitation, and the chance to pursue their dreams.
Without the burden and disruption caused by seeking access to clean and reliable water, children like Sisilia can focus on their education and hopes for the future.
