Caritas Australia is the international aid and development organisation of the Catholic Church in Australia. We are a member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), the Church Agencies Network, the Fundraising Institute of Australia, the Emergency Action Alliance and Caritas Internationalis. Caritas Australia is a charity endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient (ABN 90 970 605 069) with charity status. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
We are accredited by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), responsible for managing Australia’s aid program. To maintain accreditation, all of our systems, policies and processes are rigorously reviewed by the Australian Government.
Caritas Australia is proud to be a founding member of the Emergency Action Alliance. The Emergency Action Alliance is a collective of Australian based aid organisations that uses its reach and resources to save lives around the world. Together, we raise more money, for greater impact.
