Parish Resources Week 5
This week, we turn our focus to Caritas Australia’s emergency response work around the world as we meet Ahmad, a Caritas Jerusalem employee living and working in Gaza.
Take a look at this week’s resources to help bring his moving story of solidarity and hope to life for your parish community…
Emergency Response - Gaza
Since October 2023, Caritas Jerusalem staff in Gaza have endured displacement, personal loss, and danger alongside the communities they serve. Despite unimaginable challenges, they remain committed to providing lifesaving support, standing in solidarity with families enduring this conflict.Â

Reminder – Donation Collections
Please remember to keep handing out your Project Compassion donation envelopes each week during Mass, and letting your parishioners know that there is still time to give. Every envelope returned helps ensure that when people face disaster and crisis, they do not do so alone.
Paying in your donations
To assist with smooth processing and to ensure your parishioners are receipted in a timely manner, we ask you to please remit donations regularly throughout Lent - there’s no need to wait until the end of the campaign. All donations should be submitted by 31 May 2026.
Download our Parish Remittance Documents for all the information you’ll need to help you coordinate your donations and make a difference to the lives of communities around the world.
If you need any support with your fundraising or any extra resources, please contact the friendly Project Compassion team on projectcompassion@caritas.org.au or call (02) 7254 5120.
