Where We Work

Myanmar

The ongoing conflict in Myanmar has forced many people from the country across the borders into neighbouring countries. We work with our partners in Myanmar and in the Myanmar-Thailand border to support the most vulnerable communities, particularly women and children, through education and nutritional support.

Program snapshot: Sustaining Education Program for Burmese Refugees

  • We have worked hand-in-hand with local communities in Myanmar for nearly twenty years. This program is run in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) to provide quality education to refugees from Myanmar along the Thai-Myanmar border. The education includes social cohesion, peace education and psychosocial support with social and emotional learning.

  • Along with your generous support, this program is supported by the Australian Government, through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
