Priscilla’s Story: Empowering Change in Zimbabwe

Living in Zimbabwe’s Hwange district, Priscilla and her family faced constant food shortages due to droughts that killed their crops. She joined the Zimbabwe Integrated Community Development Program, implemented by Caritas Hwange and funded by Caritas Australia. Through this program, she learned conservation farming techniques to grow drought-resistant crops.
In her first year, she achieved a bumper harvest and used the proceeds to start poultry farming, providing a stable income for her family.
