Caritas Australia Solomon Islands staff are confirmed safe after 7.3 magnitude earthquake

Impacts of the earthquake out the back of a staff member's house in Solomon Islands.

Caritas Australia confirms that staff in the Solomon Islands office are safe after 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit 56 kilometres southwest of the capital, Honiara.

So far there have been no reports of injuries or deaths. Caritas Australia Solomon Islands staff evacuated from the office to higher ground, however all staff are safe and sound. 

There have not been any reports of widespread damage to key infrastructure or injuries.
