Arsad - Indonesia Case Study (Primary F-2)

Arsad is a farmer from Indonesia. His family had no toileting facilities in their home, often having to walk into the forest, even at night or in the rain to defecate. With the support of Caritas Australia and its partner agency, Laz Harfa, Arsad took part in hygiene and sanitation training and funded the build of a toilet in his own home. Now, he is teaching others in his neighbourhood and facilitating them to build toilets. Learning activities included.

Arsad's story first featured in Project Compassion 2023.
