One of the world’s largest humanitarian crises is unfolding in Sudan.

More than 12 million people have been forced from their homes, and over 33 million people now need humanitarian assistance. Families are facing growing hunger, displacement and uncertainty as the conflict continues.

The live online webinar will provide a clear, honest look at what communities in Sudan are experiencing today and how humanitarian support is reaching those most in need.

Why This Conversation Matters

Sudan is experiencing one of the most severe humanitarian emergencies in the world.

  • 21 million people are facing acute food insecurity

  • Famine has been confirmed in parts of Darfur and Kordofan

  • 54 percent of displaced people are children

  • Health services in many conflict areas are no longer functioning

Behind these numbers are families navigating extraordinary hardship.

This webinar will explore what is happening on the ground and how humanitarian organisations work alongside local partners to support communities in crisis.

A Story of Resilience

Families like Nadia’s are among the millions affected by the conflict.

After armed groups drove her family from their home, Nadia fled with her children to a displacement camp in White Nile State. Her husband has been missing for over a year. Rising food prices, limited income and unsafe sanitation have made daily survival increasingly difficult.

Through Caritas Australia’s partnership with CAFOD, Caritas Sudan and Norwegian Church Aid, support has reached Nadia’s community through clean water deliveries, sanitation facilities, cash assistance and psychosocial support.

While these interventions have improved daily living conditions, families like Nadia’s continue to face deep uncertainty.
